Mrs. Geraldine Lee Baxley of Coffee County passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 84.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Duhaime officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh cemetery (Clayhatchee, Alabama) with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm.

 

Mrs. Baxley was born on June 19, 1930 in Daleville, Alabama to the late Joseph Filmore and Alma Arrington Lee. She was a member at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama and was an active member of the Eastern Star as well as the Enterprise Senior Center. In addition to her parents, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include two daughters: Donna Cole (Benny), Midland City; Deborah Stewart (Vance), Memphis, TN; five grandchildren: Bryan Cole, Deanna Cole, Chris Stewart, Jason Stewart, Natalie Stewart, and one great-grandchild Jordan McDonald.

 

Pallbearers will be Bryan Cole, Jordan McDonald, Chris Stewart, Jason Stewart, Lee Dickerson, and Wayne Davis.
