Glenda P. Rushing passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Oakview Manor Nursing Home.  She was 83.

Graveside funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.

Glenda was born February 8, 1933, in Coffee County, to the late Joseph B. and Susie Pearl Owens Tyler.  She practiced her faith through the Baptist denomination.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rushing; a son, Mickey Joe Rushing; a sister, Juanita Akridge; and a brother, Bobby Mac Tyler.

Survivors include two daughters: Phillis A Dixon (Michael) of Enterprise and Teresa Lewis of Baytown, TX; one son: Denny E. Rushing (Corliss) of County Road 109 in Brundidge; six grandsons; five great-grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.
