Glenda Sue Adkinson Carr of Dothan, AL passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at her residence. She was 65.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2013 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Doug McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in the New Haven Baptist Church cemetery in Elba. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1 until 2 pm.

Mrs. Carr was born July 31, 1947 in Coffee County, AL to the late Fred Nicholas and Mavis Boutwell Adkinson. She was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Dothan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wayne Adkinson and Bruce Adkinson.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Glenda Smith (Alvin) and Janie Powell (Danny), all of Wicksburg, AL; a son, Jerry McKee (Donna), Tennessee; 3 sisters: Linda Spann, Brandon, FL, Brenda Carr, Illinois, Sandy Barbaree (Randy), Enterprise, AL; 1 brother, Karl Adkinson, Geneva, AL; 6 grandchildren: Chrystal Money, Christopher Smith, Daniel Powell, Caleb Smith, Jeremy McKee, Christina Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
