Glenda Sue Middleton Robinson passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015.



 



Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Raymond Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.



 



The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 P.M. Sunday, August 30, 2015. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Covenant Hospice.



 



Glenda Robinson was born September 20, 1943 in Dothan, Alabama. She was a graduate of Campbellton High School in Campbellton, Florida.



Glenda worked as a secretary in the pathology lab at Lyster Army Hospital, Fort Rucker, Alabama. Later, she earned her RN degree and went to school at Manley L. Cummins School of Anesthesia where she became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Glenda worked as a CRNA at Southeast Alabama Medical Center until 2005. She also worked as a locum tenum at many of the area hospitals. After her retirement from SAMC, she worked three years as a CRNA at Dothan Surgery Center.



 



Glenda was predeceased by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Middleton and by her former husband, James Earl Robinson.



 



Glenda is survived by one daughter, Lisa Blackwell, and one son, James Earl Robinson, Jr. and her granddaughter, Margaret Blackwell.



Survivors also include her brother Robert Lee Middleton (Reba), and her sisters; Dorothy Goodson (Paul), Ann Deal (Billy), Mary Middleton, Carol Sims (Jimmy), and Frances Middleton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.




The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice, especially Cynthia and her caregivers Debra and Sherrai.
