Grant Chandler Grimsley
Grant C. Grimsley, of Dothan, died Monday, May 4, 2015 in Huntsville, Alabama. He was 20.
The family will receive friends at Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street from 4-6 Thursday, May 7, 2015.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Dothan Miracle League, www.dothanmiracleleague.com.
Grant was born December 6, 1994 in Dothan and grew up here. He was a 2013 graduate of Northview High School. He was a beloved son, grandson, nephew and friend. Grant enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dothan.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Tinnie Forehand and Ruth Williams Cannon, and a cousin, Scott Starling.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Teresa and Chris Byard of Dothan; father, Greg Grimsley of Dothan; grandparents, Denise and Greg Harrington of Abbeville, Ken and Debbie Starling of Dothan, and Ed and Joanne Grimsley of Enterprise; uncle, Neal and Brandy Starling of Dothan; aunt, Sharon Grimsley of Enterprise; uncle, Eddie and Maria Grimsley of Huntsville; best friend, Jessica Richardson of Huntsville; three great uncles, numerous cousins, close friends and family.
