Harry Justin Dillender, III, a resident of Dothan went home to be with the Lord Tuesday night, February 3, 2015 surrounded by his family and friends. He was 64.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Hale officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30 Saturday prior to service time.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 13, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, California with El Cajon Mortuary in El Cajon, California directing.

Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to Dothan Christian Fellowship, 2054 John D. Odom Road, Dothan, Alabama, 36303.

Mr. Dillender was born October 31, 1950 in San Diego, California and lived most of his life there. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U. S. Navy. He was employed for 18 years with the San Diego Transit. He enjoyed woodworking.

Mr. Dillender is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Alda Dillender.

Survivors include his wife, Lynda Dillender of Dothan; 3 children, Tammy, Jack and Jonathan and 4 step-children that he loved as his own, Michele, Kenneth, Matthew and Thomas; 8 grandchildren; a sister, Diane Steele of San Diego, CA and the mother of his 3 oldest children, Julie Krause of San Diego, CA.
