 Hattie “Gladys” Peacock Mills, age 91, of Mulberry, IN, passed away from this life on February 26, 2017 at Mulberry Nursing Home in Mulberry, IN.


 


 Hattie “Gladys” was born on June 6, 1925 in Melville, FL to Bascom and Hattie T. Peacock. She was a resident of many areas in FL, AL, and IN. She was of Christian faith and served in many Methodist churches of the areas in which she lived.


 


 She was preceded in death by her parents: Bascom and Hattie T. Peacock; husband: Arthur Mills; brother: Charles “Gladous” Peacock; great-grandson: Canaan Mason; and her beloved aunts who raised her upon the early death of her mother: Ethel Peacock Kirkland, Estelle Peacock Mathis, Ruby Louverne Peacock Campbell, Daisy Clyde Peacock Pringle, Clara Willie Mae Peacock Whitehead, and Sara Frances Peacock Hughes.


 


 She is survived by her five children: Linda Hunt of Dothan, AL; Phyllis Smith of Logansport, IN; Denny Mills of Mulberry, IN; Terry Mills (Gloria) of Delphi, IN; Nancy Howell (Barry) of Delphi, IN.


 


 Nine grandchildren: Mendy Bannerman (Scott) of Marianna, FL; Tammy Green (Randy) of Huntsville, AL; Amy Hillabrand of Dothan, AL; Ryan and Chelsey Kingma of Lafayette, IN; Paula Foster (John) of Maryland; Christopher Smith of Logansport, IN; David Smith of Mishawaka, IN; Angie Santiago of San Diego, CA.


 


 Ten great-grandchildren: Jaren (Cierra) Bannerman of Centerville, GA; Gage Bannerman of Marianna, FL; Jacob Hillabrand of Gainesville, GA; Ezekiel Mason of Huntsville, AL; Trinity Curry of Huntsville, AL; Aria and Lana Foster of Maryland, Simon Jouppi of San Diego, CA; Adara Hughes of San Diego, CA; Shade Dubruhl of Indianapolis, IN.


 


Visitation will be March 3, 2017 at Ward & Wilson Funeral Home in Dothan, AL from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Graveside service will follow at Cottonwood City Cemetery in Cottonwood, AL. with Pastor W.C. Senn officiating.
