Hazel Lee Killett, 90, a resident of Dothan died Thursday May 22, 2014 at a local hospital.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 pm Saturday May 24, 2014 at St. Columba Catholic Church Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 am (EST) Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Ft. Mitchell Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home directing.


Mrs. Killett was born September 6, 1923 in Macon, Georgia and lived the early years of her life there. She moved to Dothan in 1989 and was employed with the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Enterprise for over twenty years until her retirement. Mrs. Killett enjoyed decorating her house and she was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.


Survivors include her sons, Ernest Brown Killett, Jr. and James Karl Killett; her daughter, Kimberly Horchen; her grandchildren, Stephanie Cody, Heidi Horchen, Bryan Justin Killett, Brianne R. Sing, Brittany Lynn Killett, William Christopher Killett, Christianna Deykerhoff and Amy Jean Killett; her sister, Ella Mae Ward; her niece and nephew, Randy and Joyce Humphries.
