Helen Hillsman, 81, a resident of Dothan passed away Thursday December 8, 2016 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Van Clack officiating. Graveside services will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1pm until 2pm.

Mrs. Hillsman was born in State College, Pennsylvania and lived there the early years of her life. She married William Hillsman in 1958 and followed him during his 25 years of military service. She resided in Albany, Georgia prior to moving to Dothan in 1979. She was a homemaker and an avid Bingo player at the Elk’s Lodge.

Mrs. Hillsman is survived her husband of 58 years, William P. Hillsman; her son, William P. (Jane) Hillsman, Jr.; her daughter, Dawn H. (William) Richardson; her grandson, Anthony D. (Heather) Terry; her great grandchildren, Justice K. Terry and Max Anthony D. Terry; her sisters, Priscilla Muto, Etta Barnes, and Ellen Richards; and by several nieces and nephews.
