          Henrietta Pouncey Weber, 81, of Enterprise, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 of natural causes at her home in Enterprise, AL.


          Funeral services will be 11 am, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Hixson officiating.  Burial will follow in Providence cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends Monday, February 18, 2013 from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Old Providence Foundation.


          Henrietta was born November 14, 1931 to Marie and June Pouncey.  She grew up in Dale County on a farm.  She worked in civil service at several military bases, including Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL and Fort Rucker in Fort Rucker, AL.  While working at Fort Rucker, she met and later married the late COL. Robert R. Weber, USAF.  She settled in Enterprise, AL in 1996 surrounded by family and friends and became an active member of Providence Baptist Church in Daleville, AL.  She devoted her time to various church activities including the summer youth program and community outreach efforts.  Henrietta was also an avid supporter of several major associations such as the Sierra Club and the World Wildlife Fund. 


         Mrs. Weber was preceded in death by her husband, COL (Ret.) Robert R. Weber.


         She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Weber; sister, Anne Williams ; grandchildren, Rachel, Brian and Meghan Cowen.
