Henry Wayne Allen of Dothan passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 70.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Logos Church (Emmanuel Christian School) with Reverend David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at Logos Church (Emmanuel Christian School) from 1:30 to 3 P.M. Sunday with services following. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Logos Church Building Fund.

Mr. Allen retired from Sears, was Head Custodian at Southside Baptist Church and was the appliance technician at Kings. Mr. Allen also served as deacon at Logos Church.

Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his parents Charlie C. Allen and Nathalee Murphy Allen.

Survivors include his wife Beverly Allen of Dothan; daughter Lillian Whitehead and her husband Kip of Cottonwood; son Ashley Allen and his wife Mary Ann of Oneonta, AL; brother Rev. Charles I. Murphy and his wife Dorothy of Lyons, GA; grandchildren Kayte Whitehead, Kamron Whitehead, Mallory Allen and several nieces and nephews.
