Mr. Hewey Sipper of Enterprise passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016.  He was 83.


 


Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2016 at New Brockton First Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Sims officiating.  Burial will follow in New Brockton City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 – 7 p.m.


 


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Sipper to New Brockton First Baptist Church, 105 E. McKinnon Street, New Brockton, AL 36351.


 


Mr. Sipper was born February 13, 1933, in Pike County.  He had many hobbies, including gardening, playing his guitar, listening to old country music, entertaining people with funny stories and jokes, and watching Alabama football.  He was a deacon and Sunday School teacher at New Brockton First Baptist Church.


 


He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Eva Bell Lee Sipper; siblings: Herbert Sipper, Francis Sipper Layton, Mattie Mae Sipper Dawkins, Irene Sipper Layton, Edgar Sipper, Kathleen Sipper Legg, John Sipper, Jr., Winnie Sipper Griswold; and son-in-law, Mark Reeder.


 


Survivors include his wife Martha Robinett Sipper; two daughters: Rhonda Anita Taylor (Danny) of Montgomery and Starla Reeder of Dothan; numerous nieces and nephews.
