HEADLAND…Hilda McAfee Craft, a resident of Headland, died Wednesday morning, September 10, 2014, in a Dothan hospital. She was 89.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 11, 2014, in the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery, near Headland, with Dr. Bob Pemberton officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2506 State Highway 134, East, Headland, Alabama 36345, or to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, Alabama 36302.

            Mrs. Craft was born and reared in Birmingham, daughter of the late John C. McAfee and Stella McGee McAfee. She lived in Hawthorne, Nevada, most of her married life and moved to Headland in 2004. Mrs. Craft received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Samford University and retired from Mineral City Hospital in Hawthorne as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Craft was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Lyle Craft.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Terri Money (Richard), Headland, and Esther Craft, Quincy, FL; two grandchildren, Jeri Lyn Munden and Brian Joseph.
