Hillary “Billie” Watson of Chancellor passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the family residence.  She was 76.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend John McCrummen officiating.  Burial will follow in Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery in Chancellor with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Billie was born October 7, 1938 in Arley, Alabama, to the late Arnis and Lavele Kilpatrick Tyree.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Watson, her son, Paul Ray Watson, and her sister, Louise Peppers.

 

Survivors include 4 sons: Tony Watson, Richard “Ricky” Watson, Sr., Billy Ray “Butch” Watson, Jr., and Richard Nelson “Buddy” Watson, Jr., all of Enterprise; 3 daughters: Shelia Hagler, Betty Joyce Grantham, and Carol Beckham, all of Enterprise; brother, Junior Tyree of Florida; sister-in-law, Polly Waters of Enterprise; 6 grandchildren: Alicia Brown and husband, Joe, Nikki Hagler, Ciara Beckham, Hillary Grantham, Corey Grantham, and Brianna Carlis; 6 great-grandchildren: Dixie, Daisy, and Joseph Brown, Elijah and Shaniyah Hutcherson, and Sophie Fluellen; several nieces and nephews.

 

The family would like to express a very special thanks to Jim Parker and the entire staff of Gentiva Hospice for their loving care of their mother and granny.
