FT. GAINES, GEORGIA…Hillary Lynn Chandler, a resident of Ft. Gaines, GA, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at her home. She was 23.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. (C.D.T.) Sunday, April 10, 2016, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Brother Eddie Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Midland City Cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Hillary Chandler was a native of Wicksburg and lived in the Dothan area most of her lifetime before moving to Ft. Gaines in 2015. She was a member of the Clay Hill Christian Retreat. Hillary was preceded in death by her mother, Tracy King Walker.


            Surviving relatives include her father, Kenneth S. Chandler (Melissa Saulters),  Ft. Gaines; her step-father, Harry Walker, Headland; two sisters, Jennifer Chandler Besse (Michael), Aiken, SC; Courtney King, Birmingham; two step-sisters, Heather Mesey, Dothan; and Wilma Walker, Headland; a brother, Kent Nobles Chandler, Robbinsville, NC; grandparents, Preston Chandler, Pansey; and Marlene Chandler, Blakely, GA; great-grandparents, Clifford and Onez Anderson, Blakely, GA; a niece, McKinnley Besse, two nephews, Trace Besse and Conner Bowden; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Kenneth Chandler, John Shiver, Oren Saulters, Brandon Collins, Stormy Rogers, and Michael Besse.
