Huie J. Wilson, 83, a resident of Rehobeth passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at his residence.


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.


Mr. Wilson was born February 14, 1931 in Houston County and has been a resident of Rehobeth since 1972. He was employed with Couch Construction with the concrete division for over 30 years retiring in 1996. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with family and has especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up. He was preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Dean McDaniel Wilson; a son Frank Wilson; a grandson Daniel Creamer; his parents J.B. and Willow Wilson; and 3 brothers, Willie Wilson, Tom Wilson and George Wilson.


Survivors include his children, Bobbie and Dennis Sims, Brenda and James Tice, Huie and Debbie Wilson, Wil Wilson, and Andy Wilson; a daughter-in-law Sara Wilson; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Gene and Sue Wilson, James and Cathy Wilson; a special friend Hazel Adams.
