Imogene Newsome Marshall of Dothan died Sunday, January 17, 2016, at the Medical Center in Dothan. She was 89.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Woody Farrington and Reverend Van Gauthe officiating. The visitation will be at Ward Wilson immediately preceding the funeral at 1 P.M.


 


Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunshine Fellowship at Calvary Baptist Church.


 


Imogene was born July 18, 1926, to the late Calvin and Pearl Newsome of Echo. She became a member of Calvary Baptist Church in its beginning stages. She was active in Sunday School and Sunshine Fellowship.


 


She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall and by her three daughters, Carolyn Marshall Hickman, Pamela, and Susan Marshall; and infant grandson Brian Hickman. Her faith sustained her and never waivered. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.


 


Survivors include son-in-law Louie Hickman; granddaughters, Inga (George) Adams and Kelli Pugh; one grandson, Drew Hickman; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Gracie Pugh; Brian Adams and Emily Powell; and one great-great-grandson, Troy; sisters Margaret (Bob) Smith, June Murray, Elaine (Edward) Woodham, Judy (Charlie) Burg; sister-in-law Betty Newsome; and numerous nieces and nephews.
