MIDLAND CITY. . .Imogyne Ward, a resident of Midland City, formerly of Headland, died Thursday morning, April 7, 2016, in Westside Terrace, in Dothan. She was 95.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Paul Edenfield officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, near Headland. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Headland “Bridge To Tomorrow” Building Fund, 301 East Church Street, Headland, AL 36345.

            Miss Ward was born in Midland City, daughter of the late Sterling Lee Ward and Hattie LouVera Stuckey Ward. She moved to Headland as a young adult where she lived most of her lifetime before returning to Midland City in 2011. Miss Ward was a member of the First Baptist Church of Headland and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mae Hardy, Catherine Ward and Mathel Ward, and four brothers, Loyce Ward, Virgil Ward, George Ward and Spurgeon Ward.

            Surviving relatives include two sisters, Sarah Hopkins (Charles), Ashford; and LouVera Andrews (J.W.), Midland City; sisters-in-law, Hilda Ward, Dothan; and Ruth Ward, Midland City; several nieces and nephews.
