Jacqueline (Jackie) Gamble Brownlee, 77, passed away today, May 31, 2014 at the Pioneer Community Hospital of Early. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 3 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Bruce Bolden Charles Hobbs, Jimmy Sealy, Nelson Hattaway, Hut Hightower, Jim Hattaway, Phil Clinkscales and Richard Mosses. The family will receive friends in the social hall of the First Baptist Church from 1:00 to 2:45 on Monday.
Mrs. Brownlee was born March 1, 1937 in Columbia, Al. to the late John Alex Gamble and Edna Earle Penuel Gamble. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blakely and was retired office manager and bookkeeper for Early Tru Gas. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a sister; Elizabeth Earle Gamble and by 2 brothers; James Coy Gamble and Thomas Eugene Gamble.
Mrs. Brownlee is survived by her husband, Robert Brownlee of Blakely and by a sister, Annette Gamble Massey of Panama, City, Fl. numerous nieces and nephews and by numerous great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Blakely
