James Brown “JB” Kinman of Hartford passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 at his residence. He was 80 years old.



Funeral services will be held at 4pm Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Hurricane Creek United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.


 


James was born in Sparta, Kentucky July 10th, 1934 to the late Hiram and Emma Kinman. He served in the Army where he met his best friend and wife of 50 years, Elizabeth. Upon his retirement he continued out his lifelong dream of trading. Whether it was a horse or a plow, he loved to make a deal with someone and turn what he seen as a treasure into something someone else would love to buy. He was a devoted father and grandfather whose impact will be left on the hearts of all.


 


In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth M. Kinman; his brother, Estel G. Kinman; and his three sisters, Jeanette Kinman, Nadine Martin and Betty Hunter.


 


James is survived by one daughter, Anita K. (Tony) Odom; one son, James Randall (Laura) Kinman; two grandchildren, Kacia M. Kinman and James Bradley Kinman all of Hartford; three sisters, Freda (Wayne) Stephenson, Glenna (Larry) Smith, and Linda (Woody) Woodyard all of Kentucky; three brothers, Kenneth (Gerri) Kinman, Harold (Teresa) Kinman of Hartford, and Thurman (Claudine) Kinman of Kentucky.
