Mr. James Buford Deal of Westville, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015.  He was 72.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015, in the Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Rev. Mitchell Holsonback officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Washington Rehab and Nursing Center, 879 Usery Road, Chipley, Florida 32428.    

Mr. Deal was born November 30, 1942, in Bradenton, Florida to the late Joseph Haston and Eliza Sikes Deal.  For several years he owned and operated an upholstery business in Hartford and Geneva.  He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, and gardening, but most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.  Buford was a loving father and grandfather.

Survivors include two sons: James R. Deal and wife Loretta, and Joseph D. Deal and wife Amy; three grandsons: Brandon Deal and wife Meagan, Caleb Deal and Haston Deal; one great-granddaughter, McKenzi Brooke Deal, all of Westville, FL; one sister, Margie Gilmore of Panama City, FL; mother of his children, Edna Berry of Geneva, AL; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
