James Edward Spivey, 79, of Dothan passed away Monday, October 28, 2013 at a local hospital.

Graveside services with military honors will be 2 pm Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Sunset Memorial Park Pavilion with Robert Byrd directing.

Mr. Spivey was born June 14, 1934 in Georgia and spent the early part of his life there. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served his country in the U.S. Army. He moved to Dothan in 1976 and worked with AAA Cooper until his retirement.

Survivors include his sons, Scott Spivey, Michael Spivey, Jay Spivey, Greg Spivey, Bubba Spivey, and Jon Spivey; a daughter Cindy Spivey; 6 grandchildren; a brother Raymond Spivey also survives.
