James Newton Turner of Black passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at his residence. He was 75.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11am Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford with Bro. Robert Marley officiating. Burial will follow in Black Community Cemetery under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the funeral home.

 

Mr. Turner was born August 29, 1939 in Hartford to the late Quincy Newton and Alma Rutherford Turner. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Loyce Bass of Lynn Haven, FL.

 

Survivors include his wife, Karol Austin Turner; one daughter, Krystal (Gene) Wilson; two grandchildren, Hunter and Kallie Wilson; one sister, Jean (Jack) Strickland, all of Black; one brother, Paul (Virginia) Turner of Dothan; several nieces and nephews.
