James O. Wilson of Enterprise passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Medical Center Enterprise.  He was 82.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Calvin Griffin and Bishop Carl McComb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Mr. Wilson was born April 18, 1933, in Troy, Alabama to the late Hiawatha and Annie L. Whitehurst Wilson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Lessie M. Wilson of Enterprise, AL; 3 sons: Col (ret) Joe A. Wilson (Edna) of Tampa, FL, Col (ret) Larry D. Wilson (Delmarshea) of Manassas, VA, and Lt Col (ret) James T. Wilson (Sandy) of Marietta, GA; 3 daughters: Janice Wilson Johnson of Lawrenceville, GA, Lt Col (ret) Judy L. Jackson (Greg) of Warner Robins, GA, and Brenda J. Carter (John) of Durham, NC; 2 brothers: Robert L. Wilson (Lillian) and James D. Wilson (Annie Pearl), all of Troy, AL; 2 sisters: Lee A. Harris of Brookville, PA and Dorothy J. Dickson (Norval) of Troy, AL; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
