JAMES  ROBERT  BLANKENSHIP

FT. GAINES, GA…James Robert (Brad) Blankenship, a former resident of Henry County, died Tuesday night, July 9, 2013, in the Ft. Gaines Health & Rehab.  He was 65.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 12, 2013, in the Freedom Fellowship, in Abbeville, with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating.  Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. Friday in the church sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Fellowship, c/o, Sheila Whitehead, 106 Weeping Willow Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.

Mr. Blankenship was born and reared in Henry County, son of the late Horace Leonard Blankenship and Juanita Turner Blankenship.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Norris, and two brothers, William Horace (Buddy) Blankenship and Thomas Gerald (Chubby) Blankenship. 

Surviving relatives include a sister, Mary Jane Nolan (Larry), Abbeville; two brothers, Bobby J. Blankenship (Sue), Georgetown, GA; Limmie Mike Blankenship (Penny), Abbeville.
