JERRY  HARDWICK

 

FT. GAINES, GEORGIA. . .Jerry Hardwick, a resident of  Ft. Gaines, Georgia, died Saturday afternoon, January 16, 2016, in the Ft. Gaines Health & Rehab. He was 79.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. (EST) Monday, January 18, 2016, in the New Park Cemetery, in Ft. Gaines, with Pastor William Sanders officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

            Mr. Hardwick was a lifelong resident of Ft. Gaines, son of the late Roscoe Hardwick and Lillian Tye Hardwick. He was a retired employee of the Clay County Road Department. Mr. Hardwick was a member of the New Harvest Baptist Church in Ft. Gaines. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Patrick (Possum) Hardwick, three sisters, Wynnette Bryan, Dorothy LeRoy and Patsy Butterfield, and two brothers, Billy Martin Hardwick and Robert Manning Hardwick.

            Surviving relatives include two sons, Anthony Hardwick (Kathy), and Robert Hardwick, all of Ft Gaines; a sister, Margaret Williams, Marietta, GA; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hardwick, a brother-in-law, Charles Butterfield; three grandsons, Brooks Hardwick, Chase Hardwick and Conner Hardwick; a great-granddaughter, Jade Hardwick.
