Jerry Houston Maddox passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at his residence in Dothan.  He was 68.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Minister Kevin Presley and Mike Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow at Grider Town Church of Christ Cemetery in Opp, AL with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday beginning at 10:00 and continuing until service time.

Houston was born December 13, 1946, in Covington County.  He was a member of Hartford Highway Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Eunice Qualls Maddox; one son, Jerry Vincent Maddox; and one sister, Lorene Pierce.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Carolyn Maddox of Dothan; a daughter, Angela Wilson (Michael) of Medina, TX; five grandchildren: Alex and Alanna Wilson, Hannah, Thomas, and Haley Maddox; many extended family members.
