Jim Johnson, 55, a resident of Midland City entered his Heavenly Home on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his residence.


Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Clayton Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at the funeral home.


Jim was born August 14, 1958 in Dale County and lived his entire life in Midland City. He attended Dale County High School and was employed as a truck driver until his illness. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally.


Survivors include his daughters, Heather Moore, Alicia (Robert) Smith, and Jessica Peair; grandchildren, Austin, Bronson, Chase, Jaedyn, and Madison; his brothers, Bud, Jack, Earl, and Chris; his sisters, Mary and Judy; and a special caretaker Cindy Steiner.
