WEBB. . .Jimmie Wilson Hayborn, a resident of Webb, died early Wednesday morning, January 7, 2015, at his home. He was 81.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 9, 2015, in the Cedar Springs Baptist Church with Reverend William Irwin and Mr. Gerald Love officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Friday in the church sanctuary.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Springs Baptist Church, c/o John W. King, 974 Jack Bruner Road, Ashford, AL 36312.


            Mr. Hayborn was a lifelong resident of the Greenfront Community of Houston County. He was an active member of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher and was involved in most church activities. He was a former member of the Paso Fino Horse Association and the Old Timers Riding Club. Mr. Hayborn was retired as the owner and operator of Southeast Paving Company, Inc. In earlier years, he owned and operated a septic tank business and a dairy farm. After his retirement, Mr. Hayborn enjoyed operating the U-Pick Garden on the family farm. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Wilson (Buster) Hayborn, his mother, Bernice Davis Bell, a daughter, Denise Hayborn Brady, and a son-in-law, David Brady.


            Surviving relatives include his wife of fifty-eight years, Gracie Armstrong Hayborn, Webb; two daughters, Beth Worthy (Judson), Auburn; and Allison Brady Ivey (Jamar),Webb; a son, Jeff Hayborn (Jennifer), Webb; a sister, Jane Eubanks, Graceville, Florida; formerly of Ashford; four grandchildren, Katy Beth Worthy, J R Worthy, Hayes Worthy, and Amelia Ivey; a sister-in-law, Jean Thomas, and a brother-in-law, Thomas Armstrong.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Roy Cooley, Bobby Blount, Josh Thomas, Dean Culbreth, Larry McArdle, Wallace Odom, Charlie Hayes, Johnny King, Elliott Whitton, and Thomas Armstrong. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ed Warfield, Dr. Sammy Prim, Ronnie Williams, and Paul Long.
