ABBEVILLE…Jimmy D. (Killer) Kilpatrick, of Abbeville, died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his home. He was 66.

            Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2015, in the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Holman-Abbeville Mortuary directing. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Friday in the church.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 939 Hickory Grove Road, Abbeville, Alabama 36310.

            Mr. Kilpatrick was born and reared in the Grimes Community of Dale County, son of the late William D. Kilpatrick and Bernice Lucille Pridgen Kilpatrick. He moved to Headland in 1966 before moving to Abbeville in 2000. Mr. Kilpatrick was a member of the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He retired from WestPoint Stevens in Abbeville after thirty years of employment. Mr. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Kilpatrick,

            Surviving relatives include three sons, Sammy Kilpatrick, Atlanta; Keith Kilpatrick (Mallory), Kevin Kilpatrick (Dana), all of Headland; two sisters, Inez Hammond and Elizabeth Kilpatrick, both of La Grange, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Thelma Kilpatrick, Dothan; a brother, Rex Kilpatrick (Patsy), Dothan; the mother of his children, Jackie Danzey Kilpatrick, Headland; and best friend, Carl Lisenby, Abbeville.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Jason Lisenby, Neil Tew, Rex Kilpatrick, L.A. Carver, Walter Gay, and Chris Daughtry.    

             Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Carl Lisenby, Rick Haynes, Garland Daughtry, Tom Oates, Joe Blalock, and Don Simons.
