Jimmy Don Rudd, formerly of Enterprise, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Wesley Manor Methodist home in Dothan following a brief illness.  He was 76.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015 in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise.  Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 – 7:30.

 

Jimmy was born February 21, 1938.  He lived in the Enterprise area most of his life.  He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He also worked on the Enterprise, Elba, and Dothan police forces during the 60’s and 70’s.

 

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Rudd Mason; 5 children: Danny Adams, Kathy Rudd, Dennis Rudd, Delores Rudd, and Darin Rudd; brother, Joseph Marsh of Acworth, GA; sister Phyllis Chappell of Newnan, GA; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
