Jimmy E. Dunaway passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his residence in Enterprise.  He was 73.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Steve Bruce officiating.  Burial will follow in the Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00.

Jimmy was born August 4, 1942, in Hartford, Alabama, to the late Horace and Buna Harden Dunaway.  He was a longtime resident of the Mt. Pleasant community.

In addition to his parents, 2 sisters, Sara Carmichael and Martha Dunaway, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Allisha Harrison (Rusty) of Enterprise, AL; 3 sisters: Patty Sue Lewis of Bedford, TX, Mary Griffin of Enterprise, AL, and Judy Donaldson (Kirk) of Enterprise, AL; 2 grandchildren: Marrsai and Baylee Harrison; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
