Jimmy Wayne Thompson, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery. He was 54.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Universalist Cemetery Ariton, AL with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Thompson was born March 16, 1961 to Leon and Ann Thompson. After graduating from John Patterson State Technical College, he went on to work for the State of Alabama as a Lead Programmer. He retired after 20 plus years of service.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Thompson.

He is survived by his uncle, Earl Thompson; two aunts, Ann Williams and Rita Williams; twelve cousins, Johnny Cox, Buddy Cox, Jeff Cox, John(Brandy) Williams, Rita Williams, Bobby Williams, Adam Williams, Sheila Williams, Benjamin Williams, Bobbie Hawkins, Lynn Hawkins, and Lee Hawkins; two God children, Shelli Dean and Matthew Slocum, and his best friends Steve and Sherri Slocum.
