Mrs. Joan Tidwell Hall of Geneva, Alabama passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014.  She was 63.


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2014, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating.  Burial will follow in the Geneva City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.


Joan was born March 2, 1951, in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Noah and Alzie Lee Carpenter Tidwell.  After several years of service she retired from Home Oil Company.  She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and loved her animals.  Joan was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.


In addition to her parents, two brothers: Edward and Grover Tidwell preceded her in death.


Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Coleman “Bud” Hall of Geneva, AL; two daughters: Kathy Driver of Geneva, AL and Debbie (Mitchell) Goodson of Bonifay, FL; three sisters: Irene Hodge of Elba, AL, Faye Owens and Mavis Mathews both of Enterprise, AL; three grandchildren: Joey (Marzina) Dady of Black, AL, April (Paul) Mitchem of Jay, FL and Paul (Kristen) Goodson of Destin, FL; four great-grandchildren: Trent Sweeney, Britany (Zach) Dady, Alan Mitchem and Hank Dady; special friend, Jean Donaldson; several nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.


Active pallbearers will be Trent Sweeney, Alan Mitchem, Hank Dady, Paul Goodson, Paul Mitchem and Zach Sasser.  Bobby Mathews, Michael Mathews, Byron Hodge and Chris Hodge will serve as honorary pallbearers.
