Joanne Elizabeth Edwards Parker, age 82, of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 25, 2013 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Rev. Donny Uptain and Elder Fred Averett officiating. Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on
Thursday from12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.

She was a graduate of Coffee County High School in Enterprise in 1949, a graduate of Auburn in 1953 and was an avid Auburn fan. She taught in the local elementary schools.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wood Parker, Sr., her parents, Bill and Una Whitehead Edwards and a sister, Hazel Edwards.


Survivors include her sons, Donald Wood Parker, Jr.; William Todd Parker, both of Enterprise; Auburn Scott Parker (Lesa), Ashford, AL; granddaughter, MaKinley Parker; brother, William A. Edwards, Jr. (Carolyn) Alexander City, AL.
