MIDLAND CITY. . .John David Sawyer, a lifetime resident of the Sylvan Grove Community, near Midland City, died early Sunday morning, October 30, 2016, in a Dothan hospital. He was 42.

            Graveside services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2016, in Gardens of Memory, between Headland & Dothan, with eulogies to be given by family members. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 3:45 P.M. Wednesday at the mortuary in Headland. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Surviving relatives include his mother, Judy Thompson Sawyer (Mike Starling), Midland City; his father, Mike Sawyer (Becky), Denver, CO; two brothers, Elliott Sawyer (Malia), and Hunter Sawyer (Rochelle), both of Denver, CO; aunts, Charlene Goolsby (Eugene), Thollie Clayton (Tommy); uncles Roland Thompson (Debbie), and David Peterson; nephews, Jensen and Crosby Sawyer; several cousins.
