John Eugene Stiefel of Black passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham. He was 46.

Memorial services will be held at 2pm Monday, October 13, 2014 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Geneva with Sis. Janet German and Bro. Freddie Hanchey officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12pm at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Hall; his father, James Lawrence Stiefel; his  grandparents, William and Betty June Stiefel and James Mifford Smith.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Stiefel of Black; his children, Quaid Stiefel of Dothan and Jessica Danielle Hall of Geneva; his grandson, Zerek Hall of Geneva; his mother, Linda Sue Lambert; his grandmother, Annie Pearl Smith; his siblings, Donna June Stokes, James Lawrence Stiefel, Jr., Kimali Ann Stiefel, and Belinda Kay Stiefel; several other extended family members and friends.
