John Lewis Burdeshaw, age 76, a resident of Wesley Manor passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014.


Born July 13, 1938 in Dothan to the late John Willie and Georgie Gwaltney Burdeshaw, Mr. Burdeshaw was a member of the Denton Road United Methodist Church. He loved his church and visiting with family and friends. He was also an avid photographer and enjoyed collecting dog figurines.


Survivors include William (Sylvia) Holloman, Sherrill Holloman, Andrea Holloman, David (Lindsay) Holloman, Steven Holloman, Pauline Gwaltney, Clay Gwaltney, Laura Stevens (Eddy), Kathryn Piper, Hazel (Bill) Betz of Canton, OH, a special friend, Suzanne Long; and numerous other cousins, relatives, and friends.
Special thanks to staff on West Martin Wing at Wesley Manor and Gentiva Hospice.


 
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, December 12, 2014 at Denton Road United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Bridges, Rev. John Baxter, and Rev. Joe Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow in Dothan City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time at Denton Road United Methodist Church.


In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Denton Road United Methodist Church at 2410 Denton Road, Dothan, AL  36303.
