HEADLAND…John Paul Moody, a resident of Headland, died Monday morning, February 9, 2015, at his home. He was 55.


            Memorial services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, February 12, 2015, in the New Freedom Church, in Webb, with Pastor Clint Adams officiating and a eulogy to be given by Doug Boatwright. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the New Freedom Church Benevolence Fund, 115 Depot Street, Webb, Alabama 36376.


            Mr. Moody was born in Miami, Florida, son of the late Reuben Daniel Moody and Esther Lloyd Moody. He lived in Prattville, Alabama before moving to the Headland area in 2000. Mr. Moody was a member of the New Freedom Church in Webb. He was formerly employed as a Greenskeeper at Headland Country Club, Foxridge Country Club in Ozark and the Dothan National Golf Club. Mr. Moody was devoted to his wife, his family and his friends, and was an avid motorcycle rider.


            Surviving relatives include his wife, Heather Martin Moody; two daughters, Hayleigh Moody and Hollie Moody, all of Headland; step-children, April Eisenman, Leah Powell, and Ronnie Jean Wilson; two sisters, Sandi Robinson, Headland; and Donna Cullifer (Jimmy), Midland City; three brothers, George Moody (Johna), Guntersville, AL; Bill Moody, Prattville, AL; and Dennis Moody, Washington State; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
