John R. Sator
John R. Sator (Retired USAF), of Enterprise, passed away peacefully on 12 March 2014 at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 81.
A family graveside remembrance will be held at a later date. Byrd Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sator proudly served in United States Air Force for 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars where he was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. After his retirement from the military, John worked for the Tucson Arizona Airport Authority. He moved to Enterprise in 1998 where he lived the remainder of his life.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Shirley Sator and his grandson, John Edward Sator.
He is survived by two sons, Steven (Charity) Sator of Enterprise, AL and Kenneth (Rebecca) Sator of Leesburg, GA; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
