JOHNNIE  JONES  WELCH

DOTHAN. . .Johnnie Jones Welch, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday morning, August 6, 2013, at her home. She was 81.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 8, 2013, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Teddy Ward officiating and eulogies to be given by Pat Mosley and Brian Riley. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the mortuary.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Alacare Hospice, 3379 West Main Street, Dothan, AL. 36305.

            Mrs. Welch was born near Chipley, Florida and moved to Dothan in 1959. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aldon Zay Jones and Mary Lee Whitaker Jones, her husband, Elbert Lee Welch, a sister, Doris Fowler, and three brothers, Mack Jones, Donald Jones, and Robert Jones.

            Surviving relatives include three sons, Delbert Welch (Gloria), Donalsonville, GA; Rickey Welch (Tina), Dothan; and Stacey Welch (Sherry), Dothan; a sister, Shirley Harris, Dothan; three brothers, Fred Jones (Charlotte), Ashford; Jerry Jones, Columbia; and Troy Jones, Dothan; four grandchildren, Chad Welch (Jessica), Lee Welch (Jamie), Amanda Black (Troy), and Dalan Welch; seven great-grandchildren, Annie Welch, Weston Welch, Caleb Black, Montana Roark, Mabrie Welch, Tuff Welch, and one on the way, Brackin Welch.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Delbert Welch, Rickey Welch, Stacey Welch, Chad Welch, Lee Welch, Amanda Black and Dalan Welch.
