Joseph Lowe

 Mr. Joseph Lowe, 75,  passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel on West Main Street with Tommy Lowe, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time on Friday.

Mr. Lowe was born October 1, 1938 in Louisville, Alabama, the eighth child of Lonnie and Lula Lowe. He later moved to Dothan where he attended Carver High School and then moved to Gary Indiana where he lived for 40 years. He was employed as a welder at Inland Steel in Indiana for over 20 years. In 2007, he moved back to Dothan where he resided the remainder of his life. He has studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses for the past 7 years.

Joseph Lowe was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Lula Lowe, his son, Derwin Lowe, three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by three sons, Bernard, Darnell and Marlon and one daughter, Tasia; one granddaughter; one brother, Tommy Lowe, Sr.; four sisters, Lillie Hunter, Annie Pearl White, Vergil Fitten and Mary Reeves (Bobby), a host of nieces and nephews including one special niece, Brenda Lowe.
