Josephine Dunn Preachers, age 79 of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Diversicare of Riverchase, Hoover, AL.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Reverends Jimmy Preachers, Chris Sullivan and Henry Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries, PO Box 361767, Birmingham, AL 35236-1767.

Mrs. Preachers was preceded in death by her parents, Dolly I. and Johnnie A. Dunn, a sister and her husband, Myrtle I. and G. C. Locklar, a brother, John Revel Dunn and a brother-in-law, T. L. Hutto.

Survivors include her husband of almost 58 years, James D. Preachers, Sr., Enterprise, AL; daughter, Judy Preachers Sullivan, her husband, Chris and their children, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Sally Grace, Hoover, AL; son, James D. Preachers, Jr. (Jimmy), his wife, Debbie and their children, Lindsay Preachers Mohney, her husband, John Michael and Melody Preachers Pardon, her husband, Keegan, Hickory, NC; two sisters, Obie Ruth Hutto, Enterprise, AL;  Rachel Parker (Mike) Opp, AL; brother Douglas Augustus Dunn, Elba, AL; two great-grandchildren, Parker and Preston.
