Joy Autrey Kitching

Joy Autrey Kitching, 89, of 4663 Smokey Road, Graceville, FL, passed away Friday night, May 16, 2014 at her home following a short illness.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Caverns Road Church of Christ, 4448 River Road, Marianna, FL with Minister Sam Kitching officiating.

Mrs. Kitching was born September 18, 1924 in Montgomery, AL and spent the younger years of her life in Greenville, AL. She lived in Sneads, FL for 34 years before moving to Graceville, FL where she has resided for 18 years. She was a teacher in Sneads, FL for over 25 years before retiring in 1986.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Edwin Hubbard Kitching and daughter, Sarah (Sally) Evans.

Survivors include daughters, Jeannie Ivey (Millard) of Graceville, FL, Mary Jane Hayes (Richard) of Mt. Pleasant, FL and a son, Job Kitching (Joni) of Castle Rock, CO; 9 grandchildren, Shelly Greenwood (Scottie), Brantley Ivey (Whitney), Alli Hayes, Idus Hayes, Ashley Evans, Secily Evans, Abby Evans, Parker Kitching and Sawyer Kitching; 11 great-grandchildren, Drew and Rhett Greenwood, Brayden and Dylan Stalvey, Jarred, Katilyn, and Cole Mankowski, Autrey and Gus Ivey, Sarah and Madison Ferrer.
