CORINTH, TX…Joyce Annette Parker Jernigan, a resident of Corinth, Texas, formerly of Headland, AL, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at Denton Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was 75.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 18, 2015, in the Gardens of Memory, between Headland and Dothan, with Reverend Wayne Newton officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:45 A.M. Thursday at the mortuary.

            Mrs. Jernigan, daughter of the late Andrew J. Parker and Fannie Cook Parker, was a native of Kinsey, Alabama. She formerly lived in Headland, AL for most of her lifetime until moving to Corinth, TX in 2010.  Mrs. Jernigan was a member of the Kinsey United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Jernigan, two brothers, Aubrey Earl Parker and Shelby Eugene (Gene) Parker and two nieces.

Surviving relatives include a son, Greg Jernigan, Madison, AL; a daughter, Janet Jernigan  Rich (Mike), Lantana, TX; two grandchildren, Tiffany Rich Halk (Darrell), Corinth, TX and Michael Rich, Lubbock, TX; and two great-granddaughters, Rylie and Macee Halk, Corinth, TX, who were the love of her life.
