JUANITA STRICKLAND DURDEN
DOTHAN. . .Juanita Strickland Durden, a resident of Dothan, died early Wednesday morning, March 12, 2014, in the Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation Center in Dothan. She was 87.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 14, 2014, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Hosea Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Gordon City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smyrna Baptist Church, 1800 Huskey Road, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mrs. Durden was born and reared between Pansey and Gordon, daughter of the late Theo Roosevelt Strickland and Nellie Robinson Strickland. She lived in Dothan most of her lifetime. Mrs. Durden was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Maxwell Durden.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including a special niece, KeNette Carroll and husband, David, Dothan.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Extendicare Health & Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and kindness shown to Mrs. Durden and her family.
