Mrs. Julia Barnes, age 98, of Dothan passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at her home.

Julia is preceded in death by her husband, James Mather Barnes; her father, Myron Sandifer Stevenson; her mother, Susan Elizabeth Richardson Stevenson; three brothers, Myron Daniel Stevenson, William C. Stevenson, Sr., and Thomas Reed Stevenson.

Julia is survived by beloved nieces and nephews, friend and caregiver, Bertha McCallister; and lifelong friends Ruth and Susan Wade.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 13, 2014 at Westwood Presbyterian Church located at 5480 West Main Street, Dothan with Reverend David D. Temples officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a contribution to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, AL  36303.
