Larry Gaston Rachel of Enterprise passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016 following an extended illness.  He was 69.

 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Cliff Quincey officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 – 8 p.m.

 

Larry was born December 9, 1947, in Coffee County, to the late Warren Dewey and Margaret Louise Goodson Rachel.

 

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Rachel of Enterprise; daughter, Neresia Rachel of Cashiers, NC; son, Lester Rachel (Vicky) of Enterprise; five sisters: Lonnie Faye Beal (Red) of Eufaula, Loretta Oder (Rudd) of Arcadia, FL, Lorena Ming (Lon) of Eufala, Luvon Rachel (Robert) of Kinston, and Lorraine Barnes (Rob) of Headland; three brothers: Lamar Rachel (Alice) of Georgetown, GA, Leland Rachel (Elaine) of Arcadia, FL, and Loyd Rachel (Diane) of Georgetown, GA; two grandchildren: Parker and Colton Rachel.
