Mr. Lawrence Lanceford Ingalls of Westville, Florida passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, with his family at his side.  He was 83.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Hospice Chaplain Rev. Bob Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Poplar Head United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continue until service time.   At all other times the family will be at the home of his son, Wayne, 1073 Hwy 163,Westville.

Mr. Ingalls was born December 4, 1931, in Holmes County, Florida to the late Freddie Franklin and Mattie Mae Mims Ingalls.  He proudly served his country in the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He spent most of his spare time on the lakes and rivers with his buddies doing what he loved best, fishing.  Lawrence was a distant relative of Laura Ingalls Wilder and he always enjoyed attending the annual picnic which was held at the historical site in Holmes County where Laura lived a short while.  After 25 years of service he retired from the City of Geneva as a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, a brother, Jack Ingalls, a granddaughter, Alyssa Ingalls and the mother of his children, Mary Ingalls, preceded him in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Debbie Brown and Carol (Richard) Jones, all of Westville; three sons: Lanceford Wayne (Teresa Figg) Ingalls of Westville, Roger Paul (Kathy) Ingalls of Geneva and Travis Neal (Shelia) Ingalls of Westville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other extended family and friends.
