Lawrence (Larry) Herbst, age 85, of Dothan, AL, passed away, Sunday, June 9, 2013 at his 

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 11^th at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Pastor Mark Kohsis officiating.  Burial will follow with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.

Mr. Herbst was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy.

Survivors include his wife, Christine P. Herbst, Dothan, AL; daughter, Susan F. Akins (Bill) Marbury, AL; sons, Dwight L. French, Reno, NV; Robert R. French (Linda) Antrim NH; nieces, Charlene Vogt, Atlanta, GA; Mary Anne Dillingham, Webberville, MI; Leslie Jean Herbst Crampton, Fowlerville, MI; Mary Carr Herbst Reisedge, Brighton MI; nephews, James Vogt (Anne), Kalamazoo, MI; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-nieces; 1great-nephew.
